The Founding Of New Place City Sox Baseball Club

The New Place City Sox began in 1995 when a two players from the other teams. Goro Sato, Akihiro Fujiwara formed the nucleus and recruited some of the best talent South-Kanto area had to offer. We strive to be the best 45＋recreation team in the region. Each year we have entered more competitions and increased our win percentage.
Our New Place City Sox play in tournaments. Some players are in their prime and are hopeful of their baseball careers, and other of us are just playing the game we love.

ニュープレイスシティ・ソックスのメンバーの平均年齢は40代後半です。それぞれ職業もバックグラウンドも異なります。野球経験者もいれば、そうでない者もいます。「勝ち」には常にこだわって試合に臨みますが、いつもうまくいくとは限りません。でも、みんな真剣にプレーしています。もちろん楽しむことが第一です。楽しくなければベースボールじゃない。
そして、このチームのもう一つの特徴は、アメリカンスタイルに徹底的にこだわるということ。ユニフォームや道具は重要なアイテムです。
週末はそれらを身にまとい、メンバー全員が「メジャー（マイナー？）リーガー」になるのです。

Sox Philosophy

●ソックスのプレーヤーは、練習や試合に積極的に参加し、ベースボールを純粋に楽しむ。
●ソックスのプレーヤーは、プレーのみならず、スタイル（格好）にもこだわりを持つ。
●ソックスは大人の集団であり、メンバー間における一切の上下関係、利害関係はない。

Sox Rules

●毎試合ごとに、指定されたユニフォームをきっちりと着用し試合に臨む。
●定められた年会費を納める。
●時間厳守
●相手チームに敬意を払う。
●相手チーム、自チームへの野次の禁止。プレーは紳士的に。
